B229 Engineering Support
Design support to the delivery of the Analytical Services project portfolio of multi-discipline design activities to support COSR implementation and ongoing asset care activities.
Responsible for producing design packages for Tasks and Minor Projects for decommissioning, replacing existing equipment and new installations within Analytical Services.
Job Description / Role
The candidate will deliver the duties of the Responsible Engineer.
The candidate will manage, lead and direct a small team of Mechanical Designers, Apprentices and Graduates in the execution of all aspects of the design process on both Projects and Minor Tasks.
The candidate will meet the minimum requirements of SL SQEP Mechanical Responsible Engineer. The SL DICL will be accountable for assessment of the candidate.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum - HNC
Preferred - M Eng
Extensive experience in roles where engineering knowledge was a key attribute. In addition, will have extensive recent experience working in regulated and quality
assured systems in (preferably nuclear) roles where engineering judgement is a key attribute.
Minimum requirement plus substantial recent experience in engineering design.
Minimum - Incorporated Engineer.
Preferred - Chartered Engineer and Fellow.
Ability to achieve BPSS Ability to upgrade to SC
Design Tools / Software
Microsoft Office, Autocad 2014 or newer, Microsoft Outlook DM Desktop/Cimage.
