Morson are currently working in partnership with BAE System and have a requirement for 5 x Principal Mechanical Engineers to join their team at their site in Barrow-In-Furness. As the programme has been deemed government critical for the defence industry it continues to operate through the current Pandemic with safeguarding put in place in all offices. A fantastic opportunity to work on a flagship maritime defence programme with BAE Systems and at the same time secure contract work in these uncertain times. Full details of the role below:
Working within the Platform Mechanical Team, on the auxiliary/supporting systems, in one of the Domestics, Survival, Air and Gas, Atmosphere Control, Hydraulics, Cooling or Diesel Generator teams.
Engineers are required to develop and mature the system and equipment design across a range of systems, completing calculations, supporting equipment development, resolving design and build issues, preparing design justification documents and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Chartered Engineer.
As a Principal engineer a range of experience is anticipated ideally in system and equipment design, experience in naval ship systems would be an advantage but engineers with experience in nuclear / offshore / oil and gas have previously held relevant experiences.
