Principal Engineer - initial 6 month contract

Location - Remote but around

Provision of technical flood risk and drainage advice and support to Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) to comply with their statutory duties, including:

- Assessing the suitability of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Applications - technically reviewing and commenting on applications of SuDS designs submitted as part of Full and Outline Planning Applications, Applications for Discharge of Conditions and Pre-Planning Applications.

- Support Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) duties - handling flooding and drainage requests, updating the flood incident register and action plan, organising the internal flood group meetings, working with LBC to develop and update the Surface Water Management Plan and Flood Risk Management Strategy, identifying an prioritising flood risk management actions.

- Additional consultancy services - providing professional advice on local drainage concerns, reviewing drainage reports and technical drawings from third parties, preparing designs for flood alleviation measures and SuDS, undertaking hydraulic capacity assessments and modelling.
