As part of the launch of a new project an experienced PMO Lead is required by our client, a world leader in missile systems to join the Project's Core Team.

The scope of the project is multinational and multi-functional: covers all countries (France, UK, Germany and Italy), and all functions concerned by SAP: Finance, Programmes, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement and Customer Services.

Depending on what will be decided as part of the Pre Business Blue Print phase in 2020, the full project will likely last 3 to 4 years.

The role involves but is not limited to the following:

Prepare and maintain schedules of the project, taking account of dependencies / resource requirements, and place tasks across the core team
Develop and agree budgets for the project; control forecast and actual costs against them
Ensure regular review of the project schedule and Estimate at Completion.
Report to Program Management on project performance (project status report).
Support Program Management in business case calculation.
Identify and monitor project risks / opportunities, plan and implement responses to them and respond to other issues that affect the project.
Ensure that the quality of the deliverables, both internal and external, is aligned with the project need.
Regularly review the deliveries of the Implementation Partner's objectives / critical milestones.
Ensure alignment with multiple teams, including people from different departments, countries and cultures
Be the primary interface for the Implementation Partner's PMO
Ensure effective interactions, liaison and relationship management with SAP and the company's System Integrator organisations.
Provide regular reporting to the Project Leader.
Interact with the communication / change management team.
Maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project.
Manage interface with numerous stakeholders with different positions, on different sites within an international context
Identify all ERP related projects and initiatives and secure alignment with the Program.
Manage support tools used in the project like CSN, WSS


Good project management skills, especially project planning and reporting

Knowledge in project management methodology

Knowledge in project management tools

English fluent (French or Italian or German appreciated).

Broad understanding of the key performances and business value chain.

Industry experience knowledge

Good analytical skills with the ability to manage complex problems and issues and soundly balanced commercial judgement

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence others not under direct control.

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships

Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

Working together, adaptability and diplomacy sense

Results orientation

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
