Senior PLC Programmer (Oil & Gas)

Morson is currently recruiting for a PLC Programmer for a growing employee owned Automation Services Company provides a variety of services to their Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical clients related to the design and implementation of process control systems.
This role is located in Long Beach, qualified candidates should have a minimum of 7 years recent PLC Programming and configuration experience to include HMI and SCADA systems

Responsibilities for the PLC Programmer:
 Programming and Configuration of PLC, HMI and SCADA Systems
 Ideally experience with more than one Allen Bradley/ Delta V/Siemens/ Triconex/ Mitsubishi etc.
 Integration with Third Party Systems and Equipment
 Control System Lead for Projects and Ongoing Client Support Requirements for the Controls Engineer
 HMI and SCADA applications design and configuration.

Desired Experience:
 Established skills and experience in process controls within Petroleum and Petrochemicals industry
 Strong Knowledge in electrical control systems, instrumentation, process control, and automation.
 Experience with all aspects of projects' life cycle including: design, development, manufacturing, documentation, testing, commissioning and maintenance
 PLC/PAC programming-Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, and Structure Text.
 Knowledge of MODBUS, OPC, HART, ControlNet, and Ethernet I/P communication protocols
 Field start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of instrumentation and control equipment.
 AutoCAD Electrical experience developing Control Panel layouts and wiring schematics.
 Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and IEC.
