Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking a Planning Engineer for an initial 12 month contract role based in Aberdeen.

Location: Aberdeen

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months (maybe longer)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (PAYE or Umbrella only)

Duties:

To coordinate the integrated planning of asset CAP activity (for a specific asset hub) out with the 6 week window to support stable and effective delivery. Integrated management of 7-16 week, MTAP and Long-term activity plans for all assets within an assigned asset hub. Efficient planning of activity to ensure optimal use of platform manning profiles. Liaise with logistics coordinators to understand where POB busts are emerging once core POB requirements have been taken into account.

Effectively administer the Integrated Activity Planning process.
Obtain pertinent information from discipline engineers and activity owners to populate the asset 7-16 week, medium-term and long-term plans ensuring departmental strategies are included in medium to long-range plans. Scrutinise WMS CAP work lists to verify/compliment CAP activity lists received from scope owners.
Ensure that plans are adequately detailed to clearly identify logical dependencies, constraints and sim-ops.
Identify areas of conflict in resources or sim-ops.
Lead 7-16 week planning meetings, flagging and challenging any activities not fulfilling 16 week gate criteria. Compile meeting agenda and send out draft and approved plans.
Coordinate change management process (out with the 6 week window) analysing the reason for change, the justification for breaking it in and what impact it will have on the relevant time frames existing activity.
Plan activity within relevant POB limits and identify areas of conflict to ensure CAP plans that enter the 6-week window are deliverable.
Create scenario plans when required to aid decision making.
Interface with PMSD Coordinator with regard to pre/post-PMSD activities.
Create and maintain, when required, any ad hoc plans.
Liaise with Field Manager, IOC AEL and Offshore Management to validate 7-16 week activity and give confidence that CAP work approaching the execution window is appropriate and technically correct.
