Planner / Scheduler - Salford - Permanent

Role Brief
Provide support to ensure that the Company's work is effectively co-ordinated through communication with internal and external customers as well as the management of the business and client database systems. Join a busy and dynamic contract and become an integral team player.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* To schedule all reactive and planned work to the correct resource, paying attention to response targets, geographical locations and technical expertise.
* Ensure all jobs are attended and completed within the required contractual KPI's and SLA's
* To ensure, all engineers have a full schedule of work each day and are being fully utilised to ensure maximum productivity
* Follow-up all jobs not marked by engineers as completed after attendance and reallocate jobs as required
* To ensure all pre-planned visits are arranged with external and internal customers to avoid no access issues
* Deal with telephone queries promptly and in a professional manner
* Ensure non-productive time is logged in the system e.g. Supplier visits, vehicle breakdowns, holidays, sickness etc.
* Advise team leader of any issues with specific jobs, customers or engineers
* Accurately record all actions taken on the required systems to ensure a full audit trail
* Have a professional client focus and excellent customer service skills, anticipates customer's needs and act on them
* Ability to work under pressure and adapts well to change
* Analyse data and prioritise jobs
* Is proactive in relation to problems and opportunities
* Be commercially aware of their actions and decision making and what impact it may have
* Provide a front-line telephone service to both internal and external customers
* Ensure that safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures
* Provide a positive and innovative input in to the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change
* Ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved to both external and internal customers, providing excellent customer satisfaction every time
* Planning and Scheduling of activities in accordance with SLA, whilst optimising travel routes

Experience and Qualifications Required:
* Computer Literate, experience of using all Microsoft packages
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude
* Self-motivation and ability to work using their own initiative
* Client facing behaviours
* Proven experience in working to timescales, deadlines and service levels
* Good verbal and written communication skills e.g. letter writing

Desired:
* Knowledge of the utility / construction industry would be an advantage
* Experience in working within operating systems and report running
* Managing and reviewing data
* Have geographical knowledge of the UK
