Would you like to define the TFX cockpit design that provides the pilot with the layout, controls and displays to perform the required missions in an effective, efficient and safe manner? We currently have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Pilot Vehicle Interface Engineer working with our highly experienced team in the cosmopolitan city of Ankara, Turkey. The Human Factors Engineer will ideally have previous Human Factors cockpit design skills, especially early cockpit concepts through to design assessments and PDR.

This role involves Defining product Human Factors requirements for the systems and cockpit to meet the customer requirements, including the development of Human Factors design philosophies and requirements.

The role will be working as part of an integrated development team providing the production and support to the various systems, IPTs and suppliers for Human Factors requirements.

AT THE COAL FACE / TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing Early Human Factors Analyses, Task Analysis, Allocation of Function, Automation interaction level, Workload Prediction, Situation Awareness prediction, User Reliability prediction, Usability.
  • Identifying and mitigating Human Factors hazards and user error
  • Defining the Cockpit geometry, ingress, egress and layout design to meet anthropometry requirements
  • Defining the Cockpit Human Machine Interface, Controls and displays required by the pilot, including helmet displays, Alerts and procedures from the systems for the pilot. Lighting, voice, HOTAS and audio of the cockpit interface
  • Rapid prototyping of the Human Machine Interface, Performing cockpit design assessments, Anthropometry assessments of geometry and layout, Functional assessments of the HMI design and systems interactions

THE ROLE WILL SUPPORT

  • Design guidance to the maintenance, training and off-board systems
  • Identification and mitigation of HF risks and concerns register.
  • Generation of the HF qualification plan
  • Customer discussions and design reviews

ADDITIONAL SECURITY INFORMATION: WE SEEK A HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER WHO HAS WORKED IN A MILITARY / DEFENCE ENVIRONMENT / INDUSTRY WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS OR WHO IS CAPABLE OF OBTAINING SECURITY CLEARANCE (SC LEVEL MINIMUM)
