My client a very large global football club is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and well organised Personal Assistant to join their very renowned brand.

This role is ideal for an experienced Personal Assistant, who is looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, fast moving business and is willing to work hard to make the team a success as a result.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • PA support to Director of Partnerships
  • Diary management (including arranging meetings and coordinating logistics)
  • Co-ordination of partner visits to the Manchester office (to include football matches)
  • Administration and booking of extensive international travel plans and itineraries and other logistical arrangements (including passport and visa requirements)
  • Creation of Executive briefings before key partner meetings and match day hosting
  • Involvement and delivery of gifting strategy before key partner meetings
  • Partner match day hosting and attendance
  • Proactive management of partner contract strategy and planning meetings
  • Communication control (fielding unanswered calls, issuing notes of thanks, following up on visits with merchandise, gifts and reminders)
  • Drafting of correspondence
  • General office admin to include expenses, inputting business cards and managing the Partnerships team holiday requests
  • Managing budgets and purchase order numbers
  • Direct report management and communication
  • Scheduling performance reviews for direct reports
  • Facilitating inductions for new starters within the department
  • Report and presentation formatting
  • Occasional travel to London
  • Organising team building and staff social events


  • Proven work experience as a personal assistant (Ideally 2-4 years)
  • A team player, capable of blending specific personal responsibilities with lending support across the team
  • Excellent people skills, able to build relationships across a broad range of seniorities through to board level
  • Trustworthy with integrity, capable of being privy to extremely confidential information without disclosure
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Well presented, appropriate to represent the face of Manchester United
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail in all areas
  • Ambitious and hardworking
  • Flexible approach to working, both approach and hours
  • Capable of performing well under time pressure
  • Independent and innovative thinker
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
