Payroll Coordinator; Location: Aberdeen; 6 months; £12.50 PAYE; 40 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a payroll coordinator on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen, the purpose of the role is to provide an efficient administration support to the Payroll function within a Shared Service mode.
Duties
Assist with day to day operations of the payroll function and duties
Collate and input monthly time sheets
Inputting payroll data to HR and Payroll systems
Reconcile HMRC figures for multi-payrolls
Monthly checks of RTI & EPS submissions
Knowledge of auto enrolment and pension administration
Assist with the timely completion of P11d benefit in kind
Inputting and updating HR and payroll database to support reporting and provision of timely/accurate payroll information
Provide support to employees in relation to day to day benefit and payroll queries
Provide administrative support for HR/Payroll project work
Continually improving polices and processes related to payroll
Ensuring that knowledge of payroll legislation & requirements is maintained
Provide accurate and timely payroll data in conjunction with UK Payroll Manager as required to support operational activities and data reporting requirements
Be prepared to undertake other duties and/or hours of work, temporarily or on a continuing basis, as per Contract of Employment

Key Skills required
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have worked with multi-payrolls with a size greater than 700
Competent use of Microsoft packages with ability to mail merge
Competent use of HR and payroll systems
Knowledge of End of Year process including P11ds
Knowledge of payroll legislation required

Experience required
Attention to detail and ability to undertake and manage accurate recording of information
Proven administration skills and experience within the Payroll function
The ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines
Must be approachable, diplomatic, rational and logical in their approach
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and manage own workloads, whilst working as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be essential to role

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) - two of which must be at in English and Mathematics
Competent use of Windows and Excel applications - intermediate level essential, advanced desirable
