Payroll Administrator - Long term Contract
Based Kentish Town


Main purpose of the role:
Ensures the timely and accurate maintenance of all employee payroll related information, ensuring the accurate data entry of payroll requirements. Accountable for the timely and accurate response to queries ensuring timely response.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for Payroll Mailboxs and query response
* Inputting onto Maxcel - new starters, leavers, P45 & P46s, holiday forms, statutory payments, and timesheets
* Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
* Responsible for the adherence of SLA around email queries and ensure timely and accurate responses are made
* Organising and filing paperwork, documents and computer-based information
* Producing payslips for distribution
* Upkeep of controls used for reconciliation
* Checking accuracy of data received from other departments
* Ordering stationary
* Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues
* Reconciling of control accounts
* Communicating with external third parties resolving queries
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks participating in professional societies
* Assist on additional projects in support of payroll manager - as required

Skills and experience:
* Minimum 1 years hands on experience in house start to completion Payroll processing
* Good working and up to date knowledge of Payroll Legislation including (but not limited to) PAYE, NI and SMP and how the Legislative requirements are correctly applied to the Payroll function
* Recent proven experience of working to deadlines
* Excellent PC skills and knowledge, MS package knowledge (eg. Outlook, Excel and Word)
* Payroll Experience with a Construction Company
