ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client seeks an RF Engineer to undertake a contract role relating to spacecraft payloads.

the payload RF engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform RF link budget computation and conduct associated trade-offs
  • Contribute to RF subsystem architecture, provide inputs for hardware selection (antenna) including the application of S-parameters analysis
  • Take into account EMC requirements within the design
  • Manage interfaces between subsystems
  • Manage customer requirements and devolve these into subsystem requirements
  • Support integration and verification strategy for the RF subsystems
  • Support bids providing technical insight as well as costing inputs
  • Deliver defined tasks to budget & schedule
  • Knowledge in data handling is an asset

Skills

Essential:

  • S-Parameter analysis
  • EMC
  • Proven ability working during initial design phases, this project is currently pre-PDR

Desirable:

  • Proven ability working on space equipment is strongly desirable
  • MATLAB
  • Requirements Management (DOORS)
