To maximise the revenue and profitability of Parts sales across the Business Unit through regular customer contact with new, existing, and lapsed customers.
Major Job Functions
Build positive relationships with new and lapsed customers to meet or exceed annual parts sales targets whilst achieving required profitability. Develop cash sale and new prospect accounts into regular customers
Effectively maintain call cycles through high mobility, planning repeat calls where possible on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Maintain accurate database of account details and engine population and record, manage and report on opportunities and sales using the Sales Tracker
Prompt and accurate preparation of parts and service quotations when necessary, followed up to won/lost sale conclusion.
Utilise promotional packages from marketing to drive sales growth. Convert leads generated by the Inside Sales team.

Strong sales orientation and drive Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Professional manner Good PC skills essential and ability to learn new systems
A mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of Caterpillar engines and generators would be an advantage but not essential
Speedy resolution of customer complaints and disputes. Liaise with Product Support Account Managers to ensure a consistent approach to customer coverage is maintained. Achieve growth in Parts sales revenue and margin in line with targets. Call plan developed for customer base and prospect/cash accounts. Disputes resolved quickly and effectively. Timely monthly report and forecast submitted. FST database cleansed, kept accurate and regularly maintained and updated. Accuracy of quotations and sales transacted, low number of disputes. Annual sales revenue in line with target and budget set.
