Our client is looking for a Packing Operative for a Permanent opportunity based in Grangemouth.
Main Purpose of The Job:
Working as part of the production team, the Packing Operative is a dual skilled role responsible for the bagging of product as well as ensuring the efficient collection and movement of finished product in to the Warehouse from end of line.
This role plays a key part in maintaining production schedules and company product standards.
The role holder should be able to work with minimal supervision. A commitment to all health & safety, environmental and quality procedures and practices is paramount.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsible for setting up and managing the bagging line
Identifying and marking up the product bags with the correct documentation/information.
Hanging the product bags and filling with the appropriate material and to the correct weight specifications.
Releasing the bagged finished product for dispatch to warehouse.
Ensuring the efficient collection and movement of stock in to the Warehouse.
Adherence to quality procedures, process control and operational instructions to maintain our customer focus.
Monitor process, machine operations and materials to ensure quality and conformity of the finished product with clients quality standards.
Adherence to cleaning, hygiene and Company regulations
Documenting and recording information both in written and electronic format.
Health and Safety
Adherence to Health & Safety procedures and acting as a H&S ambassador
Operating safe working practices and procedures and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the process facility at all times.
Operating forklift trucks in a safe manner to ensure the relevant collection and movement of product and materials.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desirable.
A valid FLT licence with previous FLT experience is essential
Knowledge of Health and Safety workplace best practice
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to a Basic level
Strong problem solving skills
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks
Ability to communicate effectively team members and internal stakeholders.
Good attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multi-task
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Must be a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is driven with a can do attitude.
Must be a team player with the ability to work independently
