Outdoor Street Assessor / Surveyor (Environmental Data Collection) - Oxfordshire - 8 Days +

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to complement and enhance our Waste & Resource Management team.

This role involves assisting councils in improving the natural environment for their communities and helping to ensure street cleaning services are efficient and good value for money. You will be undertaking street cleanliness surveys using a pre-set methodology to grade levels of litter, detritus, graffiti and fly-posting. A full survey would involve assessing a range of different types of streets over a local area, and recording the results for each on a scale of A-E in a custom-made tablet-based recording system.

Whilst we are subject to constraints in respect of when and where surveys are undertaken, when possible we are willing to consider flexible working days, hours, and times to suit the right individual.

ABOUT YOU:
Experience and relevant qualifications are not essential as all training will be provided, and you will receive ongoing support and advice from our wider team as required.

Since the job involves working outside all year round and requires significant walking, it would particularly suit someone who likes to be outdoors and to stay fit and healthy by getting regular light exercise while at work. You will need to be dependable, trustworthy, self-motivated, enjoy working outdoors, and able to complete your assessments on schedule to a high standard. We need a 'safe pair of hands' to reliably deliver these important survey works for our clients.

Survey works will be conducted throughout Oxfordshire, at times involving staying overnight. You will therefore need to able to drive to various locations, hold a valid driving licence and, ideally, be a car owner.
