We are currently looking for an Off-Shore Substation Safety Engineer to work on the St Brieuc Wind farm project to be built off the coast of Brittany. To start late May 2020 and will run for approx 3 years.
The locations of work can be London or Glasgow. After the COVID measures are lifted there is a requirement to attend the France Project Office every two weeks for between 2 and 4 days.
The OSS Safety Engineer (OSS-SE) will be dedicated to the Offshore Substation package from day one. The nature of this Scope function is Quality Engineering Technology driven which comprises product safety, quality & engineering safety, this as well includes the planning, setting up and reviewing of processes relevant for the manufacturing, shipping, installation and completion of the Offshore Substation in the North Sea.
The successful candidate shall be responsible for ensuring to plan inspections and requirements satisfying work equipment's verification of conformity that the Offshore Substation is a safe plant to work on.
Organizes own workload, setting overall annual and project objectives in conjunction with H&S Manager, Offshore H | S | Q Business Office, and project team.
Deliver H&S management briefing sessions to the project management team.
Contribute to project's legal register with a focus on OSS compliance and satisfying French H&S legislation. Make recommendations to project's senior management team and provide regular documented updates or attend meetings. The following meeting(s) are foreseen which must be driven and documented.
Weekly meeting with project and site team and documentation in minutes taking.
Actively participate in meeting requirements towards Offshore H | S | Q Business Office.
Incident reporting and general documentation and record keeping as set out by the Offshore H | S | Q Business Office.
Candidates must have at least 5 years off shore wind farm experience.
Must have a good understanding of French H&S legislation.
Must be able to speak fluent French. Project language will be English.
Must have a degree in relevant Engineering subject.
Must come from a strong engineering background.
Be skilled in AutoCad and machinery design.
