We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for a 6 -12 month contract position. This will be a home based role and you will report in to our clients offices in Cheshire.
The role requires in depth knowledge of looking into continuous improvements and efficiencies and the person being able to analyse the data and trends.
Candidates from a utilities / maintenance background would be preferred.
Candidates must be:
Capable of generating management information from business systems
Capable of analysing data produced
Looking for trends and identifying/ communicating these/ generating conclusions
Creating management reports - suitable for executive level use as well as general use
Capable of communicating the information obtained/ trends information through a range of media - written/ verbal/ electronic etc
Ideally we are looking for someone:
Used to working in an operational environment
With a track record of finding efficiencies i.e. manual workers/ light construction/ office working/ customer facing/ directly employed labour force
Used to explaining outcomes to people from an operational background/ working with operational teams
Has familiarity with SAP financial management information
You will need to have a strong Continuous Improvement knowledge and background.
Continuous Improvement focus will be on - 7 day working, work groups, planned maintenance etc. The role will be to identify the key business opportunities such as cost saving, best practice, waste reduction & improvement.
You will have a thorough knowledge of operational management & experience of identifying efficiencies.
Familiar with unionised environment and practices is preferred.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of best practice communications
Full driving licence essential
