Role: Engineer for (Nuclear) Pressure Systems - Hinkley 'C' nuclear power station project, Bristol
Location: Bristol, 2 minutes drive off of M4 / M5 junction
Salary: £35000 - 60000 + excellent benefits (Higher salary might be considered for particularly well/suitably skilled and experienced individuals)
Start: November 2019 onwards (due to need to obtain security clearance - later start date as well as significant notice period will be accepted)
An exciting opportunity exists for 5/6 x Engineers with experience of HAZOP and HAZID, as well as good knowledge of process engineering, fluid system operation and design principles to work as(Nuclear) Pressure Systems Engineers in support of the £22bn Hinkley 'C' NPS project for our prestigious nuclear industry client.
This role will be based at the client's office in Bristol close to the M4/M5 junction
The Nuclear Pressure Systems Engineers will be responsible for producing all the documentation for conformity assessment of the HVAC and distribution systems.
They will support across multiple systems in the client's team.
Based on the specification for the system and the engineering guidelines, the engineer will produce:
- NPS description file
- System overlimit protection report
- Loading specification
The engineer should have a good understanding of HAZOP/HAZID processes to support the production of the overlimit protection reports.These activities are performed in interaction with departments based near Paris.
Prior Nuclear Industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Education / Qualifications
Process, mechanical or piping engineer (or engineer with sufficient other relevant experience) with experience of HAZOP and HAZID and good knowledge of process engineering, fluid system operation and design principles.
