Our client is looking for a Nuclear Facility Design and Safety Manager to be based in Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Baseline clearance required before candidate can start.
As part of the DRDL Design Authority, a Design & Safety Manager is accountable to the Plant or Project Manager for delivery of technical outputs and professionally accountable to Head of Engineering for Design Development, Approval and Through Life Management of DRDL site facilities and systems and related Nuclear Safety Cases to meet an agreed set of User, DA, Licensee and other Business Requirements.
Main Purpose of Role:
Delivery of Facility Design & Staged Nuclear Safety Cases
Management of In-Service Facility Design and Safety Cases
Implement Babcock/DRDL Design & Nuclear Safety Processes
Technical integration of project design & safety work scope.
Discharge of DA Function as Delegated via Hd of Engineering.
Jointly with the CE and other DSMs, ensure technical consistency across SI projects.
Contribute to development of Design & Nuclear Processes & Standards
Design Requirements Management

Develop, plan and deliver design and safety technical work
Design & Safety Resource Management
Manage Design & Safety Team ONR & EA interface
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences:
Design or Nuclear Safety Process Management
