This is a three - six month contract, but after the initial contract has come to an end there will be the option to become an internal employee

Key Responsibilities

*Identify requirements, design document and implement technical solutions for scalable and resilient national network architecture
*Identify potential network risks and issues, and provide effective technical solutions to mitigate these risks
*Develop contingency/fail-over network systems to ensure network performance and customer service satisfaction at all times
*Capacity in serving as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting day-2 functions and embedding proactive measures for network resiliency.
*Automating infrastructure deployments and maintenance
*Working with LAN/WAN technologies on new mobility design

Required Skills

*Extensive experience in a network and wireless design environment. Understanding in Enterprise Routing & Switching, Nexus Switching and WLAN
*Cisco Wireless LAN Configuration customer environments, office, and optionally outdoor environments Configuration of both autonomous and Light Weight Access Point Solutions, including Clean Air, Wireless Control System WCS Navigator, MESH, RFID, and RTLS, and optionally AeroScout
*RF engineering for wireless layouts with new antenna types and radio types.
*Perform network related tasks, including configuration of Cisco ISR routers, switches (3750, 4500, 6500 and Nexus 7K), ASA5500, ACS (AAA), Radius, IAS, QOS.
*In depth technical knowledge and practical experience of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, peering and transit.
*Conversant in best practice appropriate to network design and security.
*Understanding of hardware and software performance and scaling limitations.
*Network design, implementation, and management using Multi Vendor Platform Environment
*Experience of security platforms, firewalls and/or intrusion detection systems advantageous
*Cisco (CCIE) certifications advantageous (good to have - but not mandatory)
