Job Title: Naval Architect


Job purpose:
To provide marine expert support for multi-discipline offshore oil development studies.
Reporting lines and interactions:
Hierarchically reports to: Naval Architect Skills Group Manager, Business Unit Director
Directly supervises: N/A
Key interactions (internally, externally):

* Other discipline groups including process, subsea, safety and environmental

Typical background, qualifications and experience required:
Must have:
* Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
* 10 to 15 years' experience, chartered engineer
* Good general knowledge of the various offshore floating structures type and their performance

characteristics
* Knowledge of mooring and motions analysis and model testing
* Deepwater moorings experience preferable
* General structural design knowledge
* Knowledge of offshore installation techniques

Main accountabilities:
* Roll will involve supporting concept field development studies
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
* Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software.
* Full command of English language written and spoken
