Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the candidate will have a hands- on approach and will be responsible for maintaining machinery in a busy Engineering environment, which will include both reactive and planned Maintenance in line with a TPM programme. The candidate will need to be able to fault find and repair both Electrical and Mechanical machines as well as CNC/PLC machines. To ensure machine and process performance are optimised, a _stop it breaking in the first place_ mind-set approach will be required. The Technician will work to improve compliance, safety, equipment reliability, product quality and reduce maintenance cost.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 To conduct Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and repairs.
 PLC fault finding and repairs.
 Pneumatic and Hydraulic fault finding and repairs
 I Helps develop, implement, and monitor systems such as Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and FMEA programs.
 Support TPM plan.
 Conduct analysis and investigations using Failure Mode Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys) on equipment failures that affect product quality, equipment uptime and plant capacity.
 Report conclusions to Maintenance Manager and make recommendations for improved programs and practices intended to prevent equipment failures.
 Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
 Participate in the creation and review of maintenance procedures and policies.
 Assist Facility repairs as and when required
 Support machine relocation (Disconnection and re-commissioning)
 Competent record keeping

Skills and Experience
 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or experienced Electrical / Mechanical engineer with relevant PLC/CNC background.
 Three to five years' experience directly involved with Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and PLC/CNC activities within engineering improvement projects.
 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations required
 Demonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process
 Ideal candidate would have experience using vibration analysis, thermograph, oil analyses, etc.
 Self-motivated individual with good organizational and communication skills and a proven ability to facilitate to deliver improvement.
 Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and ever-changing priorities and meet established deadlines.
 Demonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement.
 High level of self-motivation, creativity and flexibility.
 Experience as a participant or facilitator in RCM, FMEA, TPM and other maintenance programs / methodologies.
 Must be computer literate
 Flt and Mobile platform license would be advantageous
