This role involves being part of a team of people directly involved in the logistics function aligned to company Manufacturing. Also responsible for the management of all processes related to Material Requirements Planning as well as elements of the larger MRPII processes.
Co-ordinate business activities to provide holistic support thorough out the supply chain, enabling business performance to cost, time and quality.
Interfacing and management of all planning spine related processes. Maintain and deliver a workable daily plan to the Value Stream and to effectively manage all assets to enable agreed customer requirements to be met.
Contribute to the Master Production Scheduling process both in standard reviews and also rat readiness scenario evaluation. Become involved in the provisioning of all elements to enable manufacturing to deliver to the customer schedule.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. Attend meetings as required.
Responsible in ensuring that housekeeping regimens are adhered to and adopt the departmental 5C policy to its current and future standards.
Champion 'Export Control' compliance activities, ensuring you and where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site 'Technology Control Plan (TCP)', guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems.
Compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities. Reporting of all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company's procedure and implementation of identified corrective actions. Maintain good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s).
Experience and understanding of the physical logistics process
Specific programme planning, capacity planning, MRP, MRPII and ERP technical expertise both from a theoretical and practical viewpoint allowing full utilization of the system functionality
Quality system awareness
Effective communication and resource management skills
Awareness of HS&E requirements
Knowledge of finance and budgeting desirable
Basic understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques
Excellent team working skills
