Our client operate a number of CHP plants (combined heat and power) and are looking for an experienced mobile service engineer, with a qualification in Electrical or Mechanical maintenance. The role will cover Liverpool and other areas of the North West. Working 1 in 5 weekends. 37.5 hours per week. This role will be based on site for 6 months and then mobile.

_Where you'll work_
You will be required to work with minimum supervision, carrying out diagnostic and fault finding to plant and equipment, carry out routine servicing and commissioning to plant and equipment.

_What you'll do_
As the Service Engineer you will proactively undertake routine operations and maintenance activities on a range of combined heat and power installations complete with associated equipment. You will be required to maintain and manage new and existing equipment efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision. As the Service Engineer you will carry out reactive and planned maintenance and carry out all works in line with company Health & Safety policy, which will include supervision of contractors, permit to work and risk assessments.

_Skills & Qualifications required for the role_
To enable you to carry out this role you must hold a Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical maintenance, have experience maintaining and repairing equipment in full compliance with job specifications and liaising and co-operating with subcontractors and other visiting service disciplines.
Previous experience of working with Jenbacher engines is preferable, but not essential to be successful in this position.

You will have a proven record of health and safety performance, have the ability to write and follow Risk assessments for specific tasks and the ability to follow Method Statements and amend as required. You will be able to accept site responsibility possess strong customer care focus and be computer literate. You will need to be able to work at heights and/or in confined spaces, and as this is a Mobile role you will also have a full driving licence.
