We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Mission Effectiveness & Operational Analysis Team Leader working with our highly experienced team in the cosmopolitan city of Ankara, Turkey.
Within this role you will coordinate and organise the application of specialist engineering skills and expertise associated with an engineering discipline to either the development of products, processes and systems to meet exacting engineering specifications or to the resolution of operational issues and problems associated with complex platforms, products, systems and processes. In all cases jobs are characterised by the requirement to analysis.
Your main responsibilities as a Mission Effectiveness & Operational Analysis Team Leader will involve:
Applying multi-disciplinary engineering expertise to define and deliver operational analysis consistent with customer needs, budget and schedule
Performing appropriate engineering planning, management and review of activities to ensure the TF-X Mission effectiveness is considered at all stages of design in line agreed requirements through an OA Plan
Deriving TF-X operational and system requirements through analysis of customer doctrine and concepts
Assessing TF-X candidate solutions against the defined Operational Missions and in the agreed operational environment
Developing the TF-X Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Concept of Employment (CONEMP) and Concept of Use (CONUSE) ensuring strong engagement with TurAF Operational staff
Supporting the refinement of the ORDD to ensure the developed solution affordably meets the military capability requirements
Assuring the maturity of the developed solutions is appropriate for the specific requirement and that all technical risks and opportunities are captured
Interfacing with TurAF and relevant programme IPTswrt Operational Analysis planning and delivery
Ensure all engineering activities are undertaken in line with the MAI Operational Framework and that compliance with MAI engineering policies is maintained
Leading and managing engineering staff:
- For BAE Systems staff, the job holder will be the direct line manager, responsible for all people management aspects.
- For TAI staff, the job holder will act as a line manager and co-ordinate with TAI to ensure all aspects of people management are delivered either directly or indirectly through an associated TAI manager
Your skills and qualifications:
Experienced Engineering Manager with the ability to work within a multi-cultural collaborative environment
Ability to lead the establishment of a new team on a new programme. This includes ability to stand-up processes, procedures and initiate new working relationships
Requires breadth of understanding of the physical, functional and performance attributes which require optimisation and integration to produce a high performance, multi-role combat aircraft capable of meeting the TF-X ORDD requirements
Developing innovative concept solution to the military capability need that can be delivered to regulatory and contractual requirements
Communication & interpersonal skills, including written / preparation of Customer briefing material / Presentations.
Experience in working with senior levels within international customer and external government organisations
