Missile Test Architect

Location: Stevenage

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Negotiable

Our client seeks a Test Architect to work on a Missiles programme, on site in Stevenage.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Support the definition and implementation of the Test and Testability Policy within a Programme
  • Collate Test and Testability requirements from all Customers and Users (Internal, Domestic and Export) across the Product Life Cycle
  • Flow down of Test and Testability requirements into all Technical Requirements
  • Agree, with the CDE the cost vs effectivity trades associated with Test & Testability implementation
  • Ensure optimal BIT coverage is achieved at System and sub-system level
  • Partition and assign testability targets to all equipment within the system
  • Support the Sub-System Design Authority's to ensure a coordinated approach to determine test coverage
  • Ensure consistent creation of the testability model in order to ensure that overall testability objectives are achieved
  • Ensure Test Coherence across the product
  • Define the Production Test Equipment architecture including Special-To-Type (STTE) and necessary peripheral equipment
  • Produce Statements of Work and programmes for the activities within their sphere of responsibility
  • Technically manage internal & external suppliers for the delivery of sub-system work packages to time, cost, quality and performance requirements
  • Control assigned budgets, managing personal workload and identifying any further resource needs


Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
