Morson Talent are currently seeking a Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager to join our client based in Birmingham. This is a contract role for initally 6 months with the possibility of extension.



  • Ensure that the Aircraft Maintenance Program(s) during the modification phase and test flying phase are completed before the Military Permit To Fly is issued
  • Ensure that all Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and applicable Service Bulletins (SBs) are applied to the aircraft listed in the CAME
  • Ensure all Special Instructions (Technical) (SI (T)) are correctly satisfied as required by the Type Airworthiness Authority (TAA) or Commodity Delivery Team (DT)
  • Ensure that the modification and any repairs are carried out correctly and documented for onward delivery to the Customer
  • Be overall responsible for the Management of all Continuing Airworthiness records in order to enable the completion and assurance of Mil CAMO responsibilities
  • Ensure that the CAME is applicable and maintained up to date
  • Monitor continual compliance with MRP Part M Sub Part C and Part M Sub Part G
  • Ensure that the Quality system is in place and effective and work with Quality to ensure that any MAA findings during audits are actioned in a timely manner and agree corrective action plans
  • Carry out continual analysis of Mil CAMO tasks resources and training requirements while ensuring the assignment of responsibilities to SQEP individuals and assuring their competence
  • Attend required meetings in according with CAME (Mil CAMO Meetings) to satisfy role responsibilities
  • Ensure that Technical Information, MAA requirements or standards, and any applicable data held by the Mil CAMO or AMO(s) is current, relevant, accessible and correctly maintained
  • Ensure that the planning and co-ordination of all Maintenance activity, including the application of SI(T)s, and that the Mil CAMO uses an AMO with appropriately authorized personnel for all work packages and Corrective Maintenance
  • Ensure robust Communications with both the remote team(s) and the AMO carrying out the modification to the Aircraft
  • Work with the BDUK Safety Management System and direct appropriate follow-up activity highlighted by Occurrence reports, keep the AM(MF) appraised of significant Airworthiness issues, and exploiting technical data where appropriate
  • Ensure that at the end of the modification program the aircraft is weighed and the results are within limits and documented on the approved Technical Log Book page and added to the artefacts for that particular Airborne Mission Segment (AMS) for onward delivery to the customer
  • Ensure that the team comply with the relevant RAs and the 4900 series in particula
  • Ensure the team are SQEP and receive relevant training and undergo regular refresher training
  • Carry out any further Continuing Airworthiness Management task identified and required by the AM(MF)
  • Ensure their personal training and SQEP is kept up to date in order to provide assurance that they remain qualified to hold the post/role of Mil CAM
