Job: Technical Coordination Engineer (mechanically biased Project Engineer w/experience of managing Design Change, KPI's reporting, etc)

Location: Bristol, close to M4/M5 junction

Salary: £30000 - 55000 (dependant on experience)

Start: From start of November 2018 onwards (due to need to obtain security clearance - client happy to wait for candidates to serve an appropriate notice period)

My client, a prestigious company at the forefront of the UK nuclear new build industry, is looking for a mechanically biased project engineer with experience of managing design change, KPI's / reporting, etc to work as a Technical Coordination Engineer in support of the £20bn Hinkley 'C' nuclear new build project.

The role will be based at the client's head office in Bristol located a short distance off the M4 / M5 motorway junction and offers outstanding future career development and advancement opportunities.

The Technical Coordination Engineer ensures the optimisation of the technical activities by providing support to all engineering teams based in the client's office. This includes:

  • Technical Configuration
  • Coordination of cross-functional technical issues
  • Client's representative on different Project Committees
  • Management of Technical Risk Register

Qualifications and Experience

Degree-qualified or possessing suitable level of other relevant experience, ideally with a background in coordinating mechanical engineering activities. Experience in other engineering areas (nuclear safety, electrical, systems, civil, layout) would also be happily considered.

Prior nuclear industry experience would be advantageous, but experience gained in other heavy / regulated industries (e.g. defence, oil and gas, etc) would be happily considered.

French language skills would also be of use
