We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer based at either Westlakes, Cumbria / Warrington or Blackburn offices.

This job role is inside IR35

Project Description
The SCP project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants.

A Mechanical Engineer is required to support a team of designers to develop and produce the associated manufacturing detail design of plant items including Wallboxes, Floorboxes, Sumps, Encast liners, Process Cabinets, Modules and other Transfer Equipment. The candidate will need to be familiar with design for manufacture deliverables. The ideal candidate will also have experience of using Inventor/ AutoCAD software (including familiarity with Inventor Vault).

Essential Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
Suitably qualified and experienced to produce deliverables (OIMS, RA, Scoping Calculations & Technical Specifications).
Experienced in developing equipment for manufacture.
Experience of working with Designers to produce manufacturing detailed drawings.
Experience using Inventor / AutoCAD is preferred
Familiar with the relevant standards and codes.
It is essential the candidate can manage their own workload and that of others and drive completion of the work scope independently against a demanding schedule.
The ability to communicate effectively with other team members and with the Client ICs.

Design Tools
Microsoft Office Packages, MathCad 15 and be familiar with AutoCAD, Inventor 2017.

BPSS/P1 Pass is desirable
