We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer based at Westlakes, Cumbria.
Our client requires a Mechanical Engineer to supplement our design team working on Westlakes Science Park. We have been approached by our customer with a request to deliver design solutions for Asset Care packages on Sellafield site. This new scope of work is developing rapidly and is going to be a busy area, with rapid turn-around of varied smaller scale work packages in various locations on the site, but with a common theme of supporting Sellafields decommissioning mission. The successful candidate will be working with a new team which is being created to deliver this new service. The Engineer will report directly to a Principal Engineer and will be supported by a designer/draftsman.
The successful candidate shall be required to visit Sellafield site and therefore SC clearance, nuclear experience, monitored worker status and previous possession of a P4 pass are a distinct advantage.
The scope of work is expected to be long term, however, our client are experiencing a rapid increase in in-coming work and there is every likelihood that upon completion of the asset care role, the engineer will have the opportunity to move on to other workscope being delivered from the Westlakes office. Therefore, competency against the Engineer role profile, below, which covers the full design lifecycle of our typical work, will enable flexibility to transfer on to other work packages in the future.
