We have an excellent opportunity for a MECHANICAL DESIGNER based on the Sellafield Site

The successful Candidate will have engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including recent positions where examples of design outputs have been successfully manufactured, installed and commissioned.

Awareness of laws, regulations, processes and procedures appropriate to the area supported.

Current experience of mechanical design and detailing of plant and equipment, including solutions, regulations, standards and operating environment.

Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques such as

Inventor and Auto Cad and BIM

Full time Sellafield site attendance in support of the installation and setting to work of plant and materials equipment for installation as part of the works, including

Able to clearly and concisely communicate ideas and information in English, verbally, in writing and via drawings.

Liaising with Engineers in support of TQ process for recommendation and resolution.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

3 years recent experience working in roles where knowledge of engineering was a key attribute

Minimum 1 year recent experience working within a regulated and quality assured system, preferably nuclear, in roles reliant upon pragmatic engineering judgement and where design was a major part of the role

Or over 5 years experience in a role having direct influence over design practice and outcomes.

3 years experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear

Technical Diploma BTEC HNC or ONC and preferably having completed a recognised technical apprenticeship with minimum qualification

General education qualifications e.g. GCSEs, O Levels or equivalent

P1 or P4 passholder
SC clearance preferred
