Materials Specialist
Summary: The Materials Specialist is responsible for shipping and receiving, stocking of parts, inventory control, housekeeping of the work area, document creation/review, and extensive data entry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Inventory and computer inventory management systems/bar coding entry
* Inspects and shelves incoming Materials for damage and quantity and update paperwork as needed
* Processes material to be shipped to our customers around the world
* Stocks Materials and pulls Materials from stock
* Maintains inventory record book of parts issued
* Ensures Materials for shipment are packaged properly
* Locates and counts Materials in support of cycle counting/inventory
* Operates hand trucks and forklifts on a regular basis
* Other duties as assigned by Team leader

Required Competencies:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent verbal (telephone) communication skills
* Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
* Solid team and people skills
* Strong customer service skills
* Flexibility and agility skills

Physical Demands:
* General office and electronics Lab environment
* Position subject to FAA drug program requirements
* Occasional overtime and flexibility in work schedule
* Some stress may occur
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Climb ladders to reach material on shelves up to 10 feet high.

Required Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
* Warehousing background preferred but not required
* Possess and maintain a valid Driver License
* Able to operate forklifts and hand trucks
* Pass the Hazardous Material Training Course
* Able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
* Capable of working flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
* Must be flexible and willing to work any area in Materials as necessary.
* Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally
* Valid, unrestricted Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States or ability to obtain one
* Must speak, read, and write English fluently
* Regular attendance is required
* Must have a positive attitude

* Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
* Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located
* Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License
