Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Material Supply Officer to work on the behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a full-time position on a rolling contract basis.
You will work as part of a team to manage a supply chain which will accurately meet the agreed future requirements of the business. Ensuring the supply of parts, equipment and services to the required quality standard and in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
Key Accountabilies:
- Customer Service - Ensure product and service delivery requirements are agreed with customers and that their expectations and requirements are clearly articulated and understood
- Manage contract performance – Drive and direct critical activities with your defined suppliers to ensure the right product is delivered to the customer at the agreed time
- Process Administration – Ensure that all policies, processes and procedures are effective and documented correctly
- Arrange and co-ordinate technical resolution meetings involving suppliers
- Regularly review the order book, addressing outstanding acknowledgements, forecast dates & order book alignment. Ensure forecasting accuracy.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within a customer service environment is essential
- Traveling occasionally abroad is a requirement for this role
- IT literate within Microsoft packages (use of SAP desirable)
- Experience within a material supply or manufacturing environment is desirable
- Background within an Aerospace/Engineering environment would be beneficial but not essential
