BAe Systems Samlesbury have a number of contract requirements for Manufacturing Engineers (Assembly Planning).
To generate the Assembly Planning support of Major and Minor Unit and Assembly Manufacture
Key Responsibility Areas
Liaison with Airframe technical (design / Structures) to support produceability definition
Generating the Build Assembly Structure
Management of Bill of Material from Design through manufacture
Maintain the Config standard of the build
Support the generation of the Pre Production Bill of Material
Production of the Assembly Stage Operations
Generation of Sub Assembly Planning
Generation of Condition of Supply Data
Liaison with details areas
HNC or higher level or recognised apprenticeship and experience of working within a Major Unity / Assembly manufacturing area.
Knowledge and experience of Assembly Manufacturing processes and manufacturing experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry
Computer literate with good knowledge of standard office IT packages
Engineering Toolset knowledge, CATIA V5, PLM (or equivalent Product Data Manager), SAP CAM (computer Aided Manufacture) or SFM (Shop Floor Manager)
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at multiple organisational levels.
Ability to manage unplanned events and work to tight deadlines.
