Our Burnley Client has a requirement for Manufacturing Engineers to undertake the below contract role.

Role Description

Evaluate, monitor and control the operating flow and resource capacity requirements to ensure that the production department can achieve the required rate of manufacture to support the business plan.
Create, monitor and control the configuration of manufacturing Bills of Material and Material Masters
Define, document and support composite layup processes

Design to produce at objective cost

Ensure that effective plant, equipment and tooling strategies are in place
Ensure that the performance of the process meets defined targets (quality, cost, delivery)
Coordinate the activities necessary for the establishment of means of production
Support the preparation of industrialization reviewed by methods to ensure the maturity of Industrialization.
Represent the manufacturing engineering at the customer, in coordination with Industrial Programme Manager
Create and amend the new Material Master Record in SAP according to the Procurement Type defined and to the configuration "as designed". (SAP User Guides)
Create and amend Manufacturing BOM in SAP by evolution of Engineering BOM including Manufacturing Engineering need (-CM, COS). (SAP User Guides)
Create and amend Document Info Records to link Technical Files to Material Master Record. (SAP User Guides)
Assist Industrial Program Manager in local change boards to define unit or date of introduction for new parts or evolutions. (BTG0204)
Liaise with Supply Chain to report evolution of materials following DCR CM and COS
Contribute to MRP accuracy, achieving a 98% for BOM accuracy through use of audits and KPIs including data cleansing on existing Manufacturing BOMs and Material Masters and managing the subsequent SAP validation process.

Skills and Requirements

Detailed vision of production processes and their companys supply chain
Manufacturing Engineering experience from leading edge environments
Proficiency in the MRPII process
Knowledge of business economics
Engineering Degree/HND or equivalent experience
General aircraft knowledge and experience of civil A/C nacelle structures


Familiar with the information systems used
Familiar with desktop tools
