Morson International are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to work for a large engineering business in High Wycombe. Forming part of the successful Manufacturing Team, your role will be to develop manufacturing methods, processes, standards and equipment to ensure products are delivered to cost, time and quality agreements. You will have the chance to drive continuous improvement; working with lean techniques to improve efficiency across the team as well as partaking in design reviews.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will;

  • Plan and co-ordinate New Product Introductions, working closely with the project team, to ensure delivery to customer deadlines;
  • Develop Manufacturing Plans including; layout of production area, workflow, process maps, cycle times, resourcing requirements, capital equipment, tooling, handling equipment, operator training and workstation design
  • Create maintenance schedules for production equipment, ensuring stoppages are minimised;
  • Create estimates for manufacturing lead times for new product in conjunction with Bid Team;
  • Develop assembly and work instructions to ensure consistency and good practice is followed;
  • Support production to achieve KPIs;
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure the most efficient working practices are implemented by using LEAN tools;

To be successful in this role, you will have a generous amount of experience gained from working within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment, focusing on manufacturing methods and techniques to improve efficiency. You will have knowledge and demonstrable experience of having worked with and implemented LEAN tools such as 8D. 5S and processing mapping; being able to drive improvement within teams. A degree within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be highly desirable, however not essential.
