Manufacturing Engineer required to analyse the design and creating an assembly sequence and particularly pipe fitting, electrical cable installation / termination, HVAC installation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Major items of the mechanical plant to be installed and connected to pipe / electrical systems.
Liaising with Operations, quality, Jig & Tool, to create an assembly sequence fully integrated with a quality inspection and test plan and appropriate supporting documentation.
Providing support to Operations during the build to resolve problems then gather and implement improvements to the build sequence with supporting documentation / equipment.
Ensuring a safe system of work is maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Analysing design models, specifications, contract requirements and quality control plans and develop a logical build sequence with a full set of supporting documentation enabling the build teams to achieve a fully conforming product to schedule and within the budget.
Working in the transition to build phase of the product life cycle working in discrete manufacturing industries doing heavy fabrication and out-fitting.
Experience of TeamCentre, Visualisation and SAP is essential.
Experience of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and VISIO is essential
Experience of Safe system of work is essential
Working at height and in confined spaces, consequently planning experience in these environments will be preferred.
Ship Building experience will be preferred
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
