Our Kings Norton Client has a requirement for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Role Purpose

To assess and improve a number of production processes relating to the manufacture of windows for aircraft utilising and deploying process improvement tools such as the Six Sigma (DMAIC) problem tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploying process improvement tools such as Six Sigma to solve complex problems within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Practically lead and support the implementation of solutions
  • Coach and support the manufacturing sites to sustain and further improve on problem solutions
  • Coach and develop engineers, technicians, operational leaders etc... in process improvement tools such as Six Sigma and associated methodology
  • Network with other Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma practitioners within the Aerospace division for best practice and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor or Master level degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to a Lean Operating Model/business system
  • Six Sigma Black Belt level certification by a recognised body or company
  • Experience of composite manufacturing using glass, vinyls, polyurethanes and similar materials
