Manual Machinist | Lathe & Miller
Location: Ashton Under lyne
Shifts: Vacancies available across days or nights

Rates
Days: £11.50 per hour (Up to 37hrs) + enhanced overtime
Nights: £15.33 per hour (Up to 37hrs) + enhanced overtime

The Role
Our client specialises in horizontal boring, vertical boring, planing, plano milling and drilling to a variety of industries such as: Off Shore/Automotive/Aerospace/Plus more. Each component is bespoke and different to the next.

Medium - Heavy Components, up to 60 tonnes, will arrive into the 40,000sq ft workshop and lifted using an overhead crane. You will be given information regarding what needs be done to the component which will also highlighted on the customers drawings/blueprints.

There are several vacancies across days & nights and across a variety of conventional Boring and milling machines.

The core experience required:

  • Previous experience working with medium to heavy components
  • Must have the ability to self-inspect prior to final inspection
  • Manual Lather or Milling experience


Should you be interested in the Nights vacancies, you will firstly begin on days in order to receive your training. The length of training can be anything from 1 to 3 weeks dependent upon previous experience.
