It's a great time to join us here at Tata Chemicals Europe……. Who are we?

Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) is the UK's sole producer of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, as well as the market leading producer of salt. We are also one of Europe's leading producers of these and other related products. There are exciting times ahead for us as we embark on major investment across all our manufacturing sites in Cheshire to grow the business and deliver reliable high quality products into increasingly diverse markets.
This programme of investment and development at our Lostock site includes major infrastructure projects that will secure our position as a market leader in the production of Soda Ash. Our people have always been and continue to be at the heart of our company's success.

What will you be doing?
Providing leadership and technical guidance to the mechanical maintenance teams across two of our manufacturing sites, to maximise maintenance performance and asset reliability, in close conjunction with the Operations team. Ensuring good safety practice and compliance with legislative and company standards across all maintenance activities. Nurturing the leadership capability of the Maintenance supervisory team, to ensure that good work standards are set and maintained and that performance and career discussions effectively feed into succession planning and talent development activities. Budget control and developing and reporting on a suite of KPIs and set stretch targets to measure improvement in the planning and execution of maintenance activities.

What kind of person are we looking for?
You will have extensive experience of maintenance management, ideally gained in a heavy chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food or similar environment. You will be a strong yet engaging people manager and role model, who listens and communicates well with their own team and across functions. When times are tough you will be the person your team rely on to remain calm and visible on site, supporting effective decision making, providing clear direction and regular feedback to the team and other stakeholders.

You will have a proven track record and knowledge of:
* Effective budget management and cost reduction.
* SHE legislation including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR.
* Valves, pipes, flanges, gaskets and maintenance practices. Experience of applying World Class Maintenance Techniques (e.g. TPM, SMED, RCM) and a background in applying modern maintenance and reliability strategies, to achieve improvements in reliability would be an advantage.

This role will require a flexible approach to work, with some necessity to work outside of normal hours.

What can you expect in return?
In return for their hard work and commitment, our employees enjoy a generous benefits package including: * 37 days holidays per year, inclusive of Bank Holidays * An additional paid day off each year to volunteer for a good cause in the local community, * An excellent contributory Pension scheme * Life insurance * Healthcare and a range of other optional benefit schemes all within a flexible work environment.
