Our client based in Grangemouth are looking for a Maintenance Engineer on a Permanent basis.
Responsible for the planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities on plant machinery and engineering assets.
General shift pattern of a 4 on-4 off basis (2 x 12-hour dayshifts, 2 x 12 hours nightshifts then 4 days off). The shift pattern is generally fixed for 12 months but may need to be varied in line with business requirements.
Educated to HNC or HND level or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline or a recognised time served apprenticeship with relevant experience. Knowledge of both disciplines are key to this multi skilled role as sole engineer you must have experience in manufacturing maintenance activities.
Responsible for the delivery of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
Ensuring continuous and safe operation of plant equipment.
Undertake root cause analysis into machinery failures to improve line uptime and prevent future failures
Maintain and contribute to legislative measures with equipment and engineering practices.
Manage PPM schedules, and CBM practices to manage and work through unforeseen asset failures.
Implementation of engineering and operational improvements
Maintaining documentation, updating reports and inventory records
Maintain control of inventory assets. Identify where and when actions are required to meet targets and initiate improvements. (For example, energy efficiency improvements, equipment changes or updated tech solutions.)
Share and implement _best practice_ within the Maintenance Department and partner with other departments to ensure plant operations are performing at acceptable performance standards.
To be responsible for contractor call outs and escalations when sole engineer on shift, lead and direct the assistance.
