Our client are a global energy player and an expert operator in the three businesses of electricity, natural gas and energy services and they are currently looking for an M & E Supervisor to be based in Stevenage.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Prioritisation tasks from PPM's and Helpdesk Requests
  • Safe system and work control system closeout
  • Ability to stay calm during major incidents and relay accurate information to the site supervisor
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task
  • First line management/recruit a team of 10 technicians
  • Carry out engineers appraisals along with line manager
  • Attend client meetings
  • Supervision/escorting of subcontractors
  • Obtaining quotations for remedial works and small projects
  • Day to day management of the PPM activities
  • Carry out regular analysis of current PPM regime across the portfolio to identify current trends & patterns to achieve effective & efficient delivery of engineering resource
  • Day to day management of the reactive helpdesk activities
  • Completion and management of PPM based risk assessments
  • Ownership of the site based log book system with support from the site administrator
  • Management of SHEQ requirements
  • Vetting RAMS and safe systems of work when supervising subcontractors
  • Ensure all outside contractors have the relevant passes to gain entry to site
  • Completion of permit to work documents for subcontractors
  • Completion of AP process within your qualified trade
  • Chasing progress updates on spares and other procured materials and equipment
  • Form part of a full TFM account delivery and adopt a one team working approach with all other service streams
  • Any other ad hoc task that are deemed necessary for the service delivery of the account


  • A Time Served Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration technician with
  • NVQ/C&G formal qualifications
  • Knowledge of Trend/Cylon BMS systems
  • L8 Awareness trained
  • Low/High Pressure Steam Systems (preferable)
  • Experience within the cleanroom/pharmaceutical environment
  • HV networks experience (advantageous)
  • Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel)
  • HVAC Systems
  • Hold valid IPAF or PASMA Certification/Licence

This role will also include a required amount of weekend working and to be first line escalation to support the call out engineers. The Supervisor will be expected to cover any short falls in the standby rote due to illness or holiday cover.
