LTEWP Integration and Acceptance Engineer

Rate: £39.83 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday allowance) or £44.69 per hour Umbrella

The Localising Typhoon EW Programming (LTEWP) project delivers a Typhoon Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) capability to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) through a 7 year delivery programme, across all lines of the UK Defence Lines of Development (DLOD) model - Training, Equipment, Personnel, Information, Doctrine and Concepts, Organisation, Infrastructure and Logistics (TEPIDOIL), meaning this is one of the few programmes at BAE Systems that delivers a genuine new capability to the customer.

A new LTEWP Integration and Acceptance Engineer role has been created to support the integration of LTEWP equipment and processes on the LTEWP UK IT reference rigs and UK Customer acceptance activities (Factory Acceptance Tests) for all equipments and processes. The LTEWP UK Integration and Acceptance Engineer will work within the LTEWP joint integration team within the Air Service LTEWP contract Delivery team and will support the UK based equipment and process integration and customer acceptance activities. UK equipment and process integration and testing will be performed on IT reference rigs that are representative of the LTEWP provided IT solution installed within the Customer EWC. UK Based integration and acceptance testing will be performed in four phases at both the Warton site and Leonardo Lincoln site. The UK integration and acceptance team will be made up from BAESYSTEMS Air Service, Leonardo and AEC (Saudi Nationals).

As the LTEWP Integration and Acceptance Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing UK based integration activities of LTEWP equipment and processes
• Producing and agreeing Customer facing Factory Acceptance Test procedures
• Performing Customer FAT events
• Contributing to Customer TRRs and post FAT reviews
• Developing system integration skills within AEC Engineers
• Support Project ELCM reviews

Proven Ability / Key Skills

• Proven ability in systems engineering practices and procedures.
• Knowledge in understanding requirements and performing acceptance/integration testing to ensure the product(s) meet those requirements
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work autonomously
• Delivery focussed
• Familiarity or proven ability with EW Operational Support methods would be an advantage.
• Understanding of Typhoon support programmes is advantageous
• Knowledge of working in Saudi projects is desirable

• Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum)
• There may be some travel between the UK suppliers and Riyadh, KSA when current restrictions are eased
