We are currently recruiting for Logistics Technicians for an up coming Outage based at Dungeness b Power Station in Kent.
Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Reporting to the Site Supervisor for all matters relating to quality and safety you will work within your SQEP capability, carry out all work as instructed by the Site Supervisor to the requirements of the task documentation
Comply with, in addition to the above-mentioned documents, all other relevant safety instructions as identified through the Site Supervisor.
Report all anomalies, safety hazards, plant damage and specific problems to the Site Supervisor/Engineer before proceeding further.
Logistic Technicians shall interpret and implement the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Regulations.
Comply with the rules and regulations, permit systems and safety requirements in force on the site and to promote these requirements within working parties.
Acknowledge (Employer) appointments for Lifting, COSHH, Electrical Safety, RPA, RPS personnel etc., and authorisations for Driving, PAT, etc.
Comply with the requirements of both the Clients Safety Plan, and the site Health, Safety, Environmental and Welfare Plan, as well as associated documents and legislation.
Comply with the requirements with regard to Working Hours and Fatigue:
Comply with the requirements of (Drugs and Alcohol Policy).
Comply with the requirements with regard to contact with Asbestos.
Comply with the requirements in the use of Abrasive Wheels.
Do not interfere with, use or misuse equipment that is provided for safety reasons.
Maintain personal training/qualifications as required by the Client systems (special process qualifications, supervisory, task, appointments etc.).
Identify the need for 'in-service' training, for him/herself and to advise management accordingly.
Report accidents, incidents, and near misses (or unplanned events) as specified in respective management systems.
Adopt at all times the S*T*A*R*T principle (Stop, Think, Act, Review, & Tell), whilst engaged on all types of works on site.
Attend weekly Toolbox Talks relating to matters of Safety policy.
Participate in Pre Job Briefs.
Candidates must hold a recognised training scheme or apprenticeship
Hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport and full Nuclear CTC Clearance. Previous Nuclear Power Station
Experience within Site installation, maintenance experience with preference to Rotating machines, engines, compressors, turbines. Preferably within the Nuclear, Power Generation or Oil and Gas industries. Advanced craftsmen require a minimum of 2 years.
Hours: 10/12 hour shifts over 12on - 2off shift rotation - days or nights.
Duration: until November 2018
Hourly rate plus Loyalty/Completion Bonus
