Role Summary: Main responsibility of a logistics specialist/ project manager is to lead and support the delivery of logistics change projects across infrastructure, IT and process.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the professional delivery of logistics change projects (Infrastructure, process & IT)
  • Capture business requirements
  • Develop and buy off business cases
  • Buy off solutions
  • Project manage solution delivery
  • Manage supplier hardware delivery and installation in accordance with all Alstom procedures
  • Facilitate improvement events (Kaizen)
  • Facilitate root cause investigation (8D)
  • Recommend best practice logistics solutions
  • Recommend process improvements based on current state operations
  • Deliver multi-site logistics operational standardisation
  • Document processes and associated training
  • Deploy process and solutions through the professional delivery of training and change management
  • Deliver end to end projects
  • Investigate and recommend best in class logistics solutions to deliver a step change in operational performance

Additional Knowledge/ Skills:

  • Knowledge of Logistics best practice
  • Demonstrated background in the delivery of logistics change for a multi-site business
