Job Title: Logistics Administrator

Location: Manchester

Salary: £25-30k+package

Duration: 6 month rolling FTC

Currently representing a well renowned food manufacturer, with a global supply chain across various different sectors, who require a Logistics Administrator to help develop their team further. This is a 6 month fixed-term contract on a rolling basis.

The role of Logistics Administrator will be an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional, with a broad experience across data management, reporting & analysis and shipment execution in respect of 3PL and interaction with external warehouses

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input data and documentation into systems including but not limited to; production data, claims/ incident data, payment data, inventory data
  • Prepare and provide analysis/ interpretation on reports for example; invoice, credit and billing reports, budget/ cost reports, performance metrics
  • Collect, prepare, maintain, monitor and send documentation related to shipments for example; bill of lading, statement of fact, certificate of origin container inventory
  • Prepare and forward regulatory forms (e.g. customs documentation and export certificates)
  • Ensure that paperwork relating to shipment incidents and claims are collated and filed
  • 3PL warehouse management; building relationships with external warehouses, be a key point of contact for daily queries and in the event of any complaints proactively investigate and resolve these
  • Budget management related to how much is spent on UK external warehouse providers, if additional space/ capacity/ suppliers are required, present the business case and associated costs

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Secondary education with 5 A-C's (including English and Maths) or equivalent
  • A background 3PL/ Warehouse Management in a relevant industry (chemicals, food/ingredients)
  • PC Literacy with Microsoft Office and intermediate/ advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of customers systems - ideally any ERP system as a key user (SAP would be useful)
  • Knowledge of export procedures and documentation
  • Able to work as part of a team across different stakeholders and on own initiative and communicate clearly
  • Excellent time management is essential in this position
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written)
