Learning & Development Business Partner: Permanent: Manchester or Leeds based: Paying circa £40,000 + Benefits

Morson Talent are proud to be supporting our multi award-winning engineering client in their search for an engaging and hands on Learning & Development Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. The Learning & Development Business Partner will be a key member of the HR Leadership Team, supporting wider projects within the function, working in a stand-alone position reporting to the Group HR Director.

This is a great opportunity for someone to work autonomously, putting their mark on the L&D function and implementing new initiatives.

The Learning & Development Business Partner will devise longer term strategy, plans and training programmes, as well as dealing with day to day L&D activities including:

  • Designing interventions to improve the performance of the business, retaining and developing talent to achieve company objectives
  • Co-ordinating L&D Activities across the business
  • Delivering training courses as required
  • Designing and delivering effective leadership programmes
  • Leading on the early careers programme
  • Working with external suppliers
  • Conducting Training Needs Analysis
  • Evaluating effectiveness of interventions
  • Co-ordination and reporting of L&D spend against budget
  • Maintaining the online learning portal, ensuring that documents up to date, links are maintained, and content is regularly updated, fresh and relevant

Previous experience of designing and delivering leadership programmes that have impact at pace is essential coupled with hands on proficiency in leading early careers programmes, as well as the below skills and attributes:

  • Experience of effectively managing a wide range of training activities across a broad discipline of technical skills
  • Experience of enhancing the calibre of leaders and supporting in the improvement of engagement and retention within an organisation
  • Ability to work in a busy, stand-alone role
  • A positive and engaging individual able to capture the attention of delegates and impart knowledge through learning
