We have an opportunity for a LEAD TASK ENGINEER based on the Westlakes Science Park.

The successful Candidate would be provide direct support to the Task Manager in the delivery of fit for purpose Task solutions in a safe manner to the specified functional criteria, goals and objectives, compliant with appropriate legislation, task execution procedures and within the approved task baseline scope, cost, schedule and quality requirements. To meet or better the Task duration and cost as defined during the Scoping and Planning process.

Develop, produce and monitor Task Traveler Document (SLF 1.08.20.01) through to close out, including organising review collating all documentation and Learning from Experience. (LFE)

Provide updates to Task Delivery schedule and commentary for Customer monthly reports

Liaise with the System Engineers in the plant/facility to prioritise Tasks identified for delivery.

Liaise with procurement representatives to enable early engagement with Delivery Hub to ensure efficient contract placement.

Ensure all CEMAR contract actions are completed in a timely manner.

Knowledge of the Cost Control tools and procedures and financial goals. Manages performance and progress against the plan and ensures accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans.

Provide accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource use.

Knowledge of the scheduling tools, procedures, and work process. Manages performance and progress against the plan and ensures accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans. Consistently meets or improves upon the established schedule goals in their area of responsibility.

Engage with plant coordination teams to ensure the availability of plant, personnel and equipment.

Identify risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. Ensuring the relevant task risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks.

Effectively organise work for the Task team members preparing work packages for the one off Task to allow prompt delivery of work. Use their technical expertise and experience to assist in the coaching and mentoring of the Task team members to ensure they achieve/retain SQEP status.

Prepare and deliver the appropriate technical content required to raise Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs), following the recognised formal process for the plant/facility.

Liaise with external regulators as required to provide information on their area of expertise to assist in discussions and information gathering.

Lead and/or support internal investigations to identify root cause and share learning from experience to ensure best practice and understanding.

Understanding and working to CDM Regulations.

Be able to communicate instructions and information clearly and be able to manage and assign tasks.

Deputise for Task Manager as needed and take direction from Task Manager to identify and prioritise worklists.

Ability to achieve SQEP nominations in areas such as PMP Project Manager / PMP Author.
