We have an opportunity for a Lead Planner based at Sellafield, Cumbria.

Please note this role is inside IR35

Job Role
Planning of the integration of the SSAU Technology, Infrastructure and MSCF Packages including the interfacing works being carried out for SR for ORACT
Setting to work of all Systems and how they integrate with each other
Identifying Planning all interfaces in order to schedule the work
Extremely strong management skills are required a vigorous leader who can hold the team to account. An individual who can challenge and direct the team on actual priorities and technologies proposed over pragmatic ALARP perspective. A holistic thinker, give direction, manage and control scope, driving outcomes and objectives.
The individual must have knowledge and experience of the Design Lifecycle and the suite of documents/deliverables for this.
A person who can use stakeholder skills and has the ability to negotiate when required, who can inspire a team, and seeks advantages in communications to team and wider project arena.
As there is a challenging and ambitious schedule, a resilient person is required who is prepared to be hands on and get amongst the problems/team.

Responsibilities will include:
The role works alongside the Programme Manager to ensure scope changes, time and cost constraints are managed in line with the handover strategy for MSCF and SSAU
Liaise with the Programme and Project Management Team to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
Report to the Programme Manager when project risks have been realised, or additional risks arise.
Maintain effective discipline.
Maintain an overview of the project programme and provide direction on project process, communications and consistency of approach
Promote a good working relationship
