ROLE: Lead Maintenance Technician – DCS specialist
LOCATION: Immingham Power Station
SALARY: starting from £52,000 + package

THE POSITION:
Responsible for the management of the Immingham control assets, setting out management strategies and implementing associated maintenance techniques. Assists in engineering and managing the control plant developments. Provide control engineering expertise toward plant/system/people development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the maintenance work and tasks assigned to them via the planning process for all control systems.
- Agree work priorities with other departmental leads.
- Accountable for the following control systems and equipment; Honeywell Experion Control System; Honeywell FSC system; GE Mark Ve; GE Mark Vie; Toshiba DEHC; Siemens S7 control systems.
- Provide design, construction support and startup on automation projects. Preparation of technical specifications for assigned control maintenance contracts and work.
- Trouble shoots problems, fault find and engage technical resources as required.
- Provide support and expertise on control system software applications, hardware and software upgrades. Provides system configuration implementation on all sites control systems.
- Responsible for control system security and integrity through virus and service pack implementations and password management.
- Primary contact for all control systems tasks, breakdown and callouts.
- Responsible for gaining knowledge of new technologies and enhancements within the control system asset management and implementing where appropriate.
- Responsible for the DCS Maintenance development and management budgets.
- Provides support to Operations Team and ensures defects and status along with maintenance activities are effectively communicated to the shift teams.
- Deliver hands-on maintenance activities on mechanical equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple work projects running together as the business need arises.
- Develop understanding of the business and site objectives.
- Responsible for the technical specification and management of support contracts, monitoring performance and developing action plans.
- Investigate complex technical issues relating to critical equipment, identifies, diagnose and report defects. Participate in Reliability studies, RCA,’s, HAZOPs for plant areas
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Control Systems knowledge and competency on all types of DCS and PLC control systems
- Experience within heavy industry and/ or the energy sector
- High level of computer skills
